Well it has been a long bit successful day....I started off the day with mom and I walking around finding the buildings were my orientation are and after getting some Starbucks we decided to go to the administration office to see clear up a few questions we had.
I met my advisor who was wonderful, and she pointed us in the right direction. From her advice we decided to skip orientation today so we could beat the line to get into housing. It took three hours to set it up, and they apologized they had overflow and that I would have to live in the Hilton hotel for awhile. So mom and I grab my two small bags and head down to the Hilton. We walk in and this place is beyond words. Probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Just gorgeous! Now I'm wondering why they would apologize for this...weird lol. I check in and my roommates stuff is there but not her. A little disappointing but ok because I still needed to get my art supplies. We walk to the art store where they were so helpful and get ky supplies, half of wich I'm not sure how to use I think ha ha. Of course on the way back mom falls skins her knee and lights a hobo's smoke, I swear can't bring her anywhere! Lol. We also stopped at walgreens and got a couple things. And we get back and shortly after my roommate walked in...who happens to be from Minneapolis Minnesota! What's the chances ha ha. So she came with us for supper and we hit it off great! Were a lot alike I think! After dinner mom went back to her place and I and Amber, my new roomy came back to our hotel. We have sat up all night talking, I really do like her so far! But I'm exhausted and need some rest! Sad to think mom is leaving tomorrow. I will be in this city all alone! Omg this is the craziest thing I have done! Goodnight California!

Your flat lander mom is not used to the hilly terrain of San Francisco! Hope she is ok.

They apologize because you'll have to move again later, there isn't as much closet room/storage in a hotel (usually), and you don't have a kitchen. Also it's sometimes not as convenient to get to classes (at least not here; maybe it's about the same there). But either way, it definitely has advantages too, and I'm glad you like it! And since you have a meal plan, who cares about the kitchen for now! ;-)
