words could not describe!
Well everyone...I made it here, I'm in san Francisco! Mom and I made it safely to the grand forks airport, and spent all day in airports and planes. Even on the flight it didn't feel real. The flight was awesome in the sence that it was dark, and we had clear skies, so seeing all the beautiful city lights on the way was awesome. Than finally our destination, the lights spread as far as you could see, it was amazing seeing the lights line the coast and seeing the beautiful golden gate bridge all lit up! But now I understand what my aunt was talking about when she said landing here always made her nervous. When you approach to land you fly right on too of the water, from the window it looks like your going to land in the water! But we safely arrived, and of course I'm already sweating lol. I was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and roasting ha ha. It's amazing weather, currently its about fifty one degrees and its about midnight! Anyways, mom and I hop on the shuttle and check into our cute little hotel in China town. We bring our bags up, than were on our way out for supper! We had my aunts friend suggest a few places to eat so we picked one hut couldn't figure out how to gps it. So instead we figured we would walk around and find a place. So we start walking, and I'm in awww of this place. The designer stores, vintage shops, the culture. It was all so amazing, and even nice enough area to walk around after dark. So were walking around and who knew, we find the Irish pub my aunts friend suggested that we wanted to go too. It's called the Irish bank. A beautiful small pub down an alley way, we sat outside had a beer and some great affordable food! Even the atmosphere was amazing! Gorgeous French men sitting by us, great service and great food! After dinner we walked back to our room. Now I'm laying in bed with a huge day ahead of me...and all I can think is this is everything I dreamed of and more! Words cannot describe the excitement I have and how in love with this city I already am. I only wish I could share it with my close friends and family, I wish you were all here! But I need to get some sleep...so good night California, I know I'm going to love it here!

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your first night set such a good scene for the rest of your stay! And you describe things so well, Kim! It's almost like we ate there with you. I'll have to figure out how to post photos in your entries from your phone. I'll email you!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I can enjoy several virtual existences, all because of my niece's blogs!
